Dr. Mohammad E. Barbati is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon and Deputy Director of the European Venous Center at the University Hospital RWTH Aachen, Germany. A German Board Certified Attending Vascular Surgeon, he specializes in vascular and endovascular surgery, with a particular focus on venous interventions.
Dr. Barbati earned his medical degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, and completed his residency and fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University Hospital Aachen. He is a Fellow of the European Board of Vascular Surgery (FEBVS) and an active member of the German Society of Phlebology.
With extensive experience in treating venous disorders, Dr. Barbati has authored numerous scientific publications and book chapters on topics such as post-thrombotic syndrome, venous stenting, and interventional techniques. He is also dedicated to advancing surgical education, having led workshops and training sessions for young surgeons in venous treatment strategies.
