Professor of Interventional Radiology and Consultant Radiologist
Robert Morgan is Professor of Interventional Radiology and Consultant Radiologist at St George’s University of London and St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Robert is Clinical Director for Diagnostics at St George’s, and is Clinical Lead for the South West London Integrated Care System. Robert is the Chair of the Royal College of Radiologists Academic Committee.
Robert’s research and clinical interests are the imaging and the endovascular treatment of aortic and peripheral vascular disease; and non-oncologic embolization including haemorrhage, visceral artery aneurysms and endoleaks.
Robert has written 210 peer-reviewed articles, edited four books, written 47 book chapters, and delivered over 330 invited lectures.
Robert has been President of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe (CIRSE); and is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief for the scientific journal “CVIR Endovascular”.
Robert Morgan was instrumental in the creation of the European Board of Interventional Radiology examination (EBIR), which is taken by interventional radiologists worldwide.
Robert is Chair of the Endovascular Subcommittee of CIRSE.
Robert is the current President of the British Society of Interventional Radiology.
Robert Morgan was awarded the Gold Medal of the BSIR in 2020 and was awarded the Gold Medal of CIRSE in 2023.
